It finally stopped raining. The weather is much colder and gloaming but at least it is not raining. Eleanore has her Christmas program tomorrow night. Than Friday she is having a sleepover, followed by us going to Grinch on ice exhibit Saturday night with the scouts. I am just looking forward to relaxing this weekend. Got Eleanore's room cleaned today and bed moved form in front of the windows. Andy got to play the star wars game on the wii for a little bit tonight and Jessica had to play.
I think I might need a boat to get home. It has rained all day yesterday and driving to work last night was not fun. Andy got his gift card Monday at scouts and had to go spend it at Walmart after school Tuesday. He got a star wars Wii game and a helicopter. Eleanore begged him to get her something the entire time we were in Walmart. She seems to forget that she gets things in Jan for cookies. I am counting down to Christmas and being able to stay home a couple days after my surgery to recover and relax. Starting to plan vacations here and thinking about where to go and what to do. Right now thinking that we might take a quick trip in March for a long weekend and August to Chicago to see the sites. Until later.

It's Monday again. Boy were does the weekend go. I did some layouts for a crop this past weekend. I finished up shopping and wrapping today. Andy had scouts and got to throw a pie in the Kernel's face tonight. Boy did he have fun. The girls had dance tonight and afterwards Jessica talked daddy into getting a toy afterwards. The weather is changing and it is very winding and getting ready to rain.

Well, just noticed that its been a couple days since my last post. This week the kids made ornaments for the Kids can scrap challenge. I need to upload them and post them here as well. I have finished shopping but still to finish wrapping up. I have been working on a couple challenges today. Early today i took Andy and Jessica to Micheal's for the Santa's workshop. Wow for 5.00 the kids made a cup, 4 ornaments, a bag, and a canvas. How cool was that. I will be putting picture of them up as well. I am still trying to get the kids to clean their rooms. Will write later.

Hi everyone, Well what a big weekend with visits, travels and shopping. The kids went back to school Monday (yeah!!!!!). Found out that Jessica won a little prize package from Kids can scrap website for the first challenge. The girl who runs the site is actually going to send everyone who did the challenge a little something but Jessica was really excited to see her prize package and name on the site as a winner. Way to go, Jessica... The next challenge for them is to make an ornament by December 15th. The kids are sending their pen pals in Canada letters tomorrow. Hopefully we will be able to go to the mall and see Santa after school tomorrow and have pictures taken. I got my new cricut expression today and played with it for a little bit tonight. I am excited about being able to use it this weekend for some scrapping. Well got to go.

Hope that everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving. We spent the day with family in Memphis and had good eats. Thanksgiving day marked the 8th Anniversary of my mother's death. On Friday we went by the grave site and placed new flowers on her grave and my grandparent's grave. When I got home I noticed that I had won something for SoCalScrap. What a wonderful surprise, also my friend Tina had won on a blog. I had mail and packages waiting on the doorstep for me, good thing I stopped the mail and asked for it not to start up until Sat., Nov 29th. Funny how the post office seems to do what they want. Thankfully I had to work Friday night because otherwise our mail would have been sitting out for a couple days on the front porch. Later today the kids and I plan on decorating the house for Christmas. Hard to believe that Christmas will be here in about 3 1/2 weeks.

Hard to believe that it is almost Christmas again. It seems that time really does fly when you are having fun. Hope that you are getting done with your holiday lists. this past weekend I did an online crop at serendipityscrapbooks.com and made lots of gifts to give out. One of my favorite was the pre-crop card box. i plan on filling them with handmade cards and giving them as gifts. I also made candy wrappers for candy bars that I plan on giving out and a paper wreath (pattern was from the Paper Popsicles website) for my mother in law. The kids loved the boxes so much they had to do one. The kids are out of school this week and boy are they messing the house up.

(Here is the box that Jessica made.)

Wow, I just noticed that I have not posted since Wednesday. Where do the time go. Well, Eleanore and Andy are now out of school for a week. Jessica will be out starting on Wednesday for the Thanksgiving holiday. We are planning on going to Memphis to spend some time with family. Saturday the kids went to the movies to see Bolt. All three of them were invited to go with friends and to go over and play afterwards. That was so nice of them to invite all the kids. my Aunt and cousin was in town for the football game on Sunday and we meet up for lunch Saturday afternoon, it was nice to see them. Nana came in town this weekend also, she brought my chatterbox kit that she picked up form Sam's for me. i loved all the things in that kit. I have been busy this weekend working on the Serendipity crop and plan on doing a few challenges on 3 scrappy boys tomorrow. Not sure how much i will get done. I need to sleep late or take a nap tomorrow because I work all night. I will write later.

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Well, It's Wednesday. Today I got lots of goodies in the mail. I got a package from Memories from the Attic. I so loved the paper I got and the templates. One came from Scrappire, I could not believe how many sheets of paper came in the kit I won. I love the purples and brown combos. I than got one from fed ex from tinkering ink. It was awesome, there was lots of papers and other goodies in the box. I could not believe it that they picked my name on the blog a couple weeks ago and that the goodies came already. Tonight I worked on some crop challenges and liked how the projects turned out. One was a box to hold Christmas cards and the other thing was to decorate a star. I do not know which one I liked better. I will have to post pictures here soon.

The kids had 4H tonight so that left me and Jessica home alone. We decided to go to OCharleys for dinner. While waiting on our food she did her homework. She is so cute writing her numbers and counting them to me. Andy brought home school papers today, I can't believe how smart he is. He made all A's with one B. He told me today that he wanted to be a doctor like his uncle Keith. I know he can and would love it. Jessica is standing right here, next to me, looking at the American Girl Book and shopping. To bad she does not have any money. Well until tomorrow.

Wow, what a weekend I had. First Friday night I went to my first crop and had so much fun. I went with Tina (from work and her sister). It did take me awhile to find the place. I worked on some month long challenges and got to do a make-n-take. Rebecca from the fiskarteers was there from 8-10 and gave away prizes. I won a pair of scissors.

On Saturday, I went to an all day Fiskateers event. We crop, made cards for the vets, made a layout page, went on the party bus, ate, danced and got tons of goodies. I could not believe the amount of stuff they gave us and it only cost 20.00. I came back with two bags of stuff more than what I went with. My friend Tina won the grand prize the new rock, paper, trimmer by fiskars, ipod and 15.00 gift card. She was so happy and jumping around. I was so glad for her.

The kids and George stayed around the house. On Sunday, Jessica helped clean up the playroom and got a peek-a-boo out of helping. Eleanore and Andy went horseback riding.

It's finally raining

The weather man has predicted rain for the last three days. It is finally here. 9 week progress reports came home today from school. Eleanore and Andy are doing great in school. Goodwill is coming to Jessica's school in the morning to do some sort of video and asked the kids to bring something to donate. She was so cute when I picked her up because she was giving a toy to goodwill. Jessica told me which one she wanted to give them and what everyone else was giving Goodwill. Eleanore is trying to get out of school tomorrow.

Its Wednesday

I did not get a chance to post about Tuesday. So here it is. Happy Veteran's Day to all you Vets. My hubby was off Tuesday which meant my slept was broken by having someone else at the house during the day. The kids went to school and did not do anything out of the normal. Andy had scouts last night and learned how to used a pocket knife and kitchen knife safety. I was just waiting for someone to cut themselves or their finger off. I got some challenges done for crops last night. I have been doing the love bug apprentice. Will try to write later tonight.

It's Monday

Back to the routine of another week. I got tone of goodies in the mail today. My Color me Daisy Christmas Card kit came, the goodies I ordered for Memories Across the miles came, two RAKs I won from on-line crops also come. It felt like Christmas around here, well at least for me. I talked to my mother-in-law about getting me the new Chatterbox Christmas set from Sam. Her Sam's got the smaller one of the two. She was able to get it, so now I will have lots of cool things to scrap with after Christmas. The kids went to school and had a good day. Got a busy week ahead of us here, with scouts and dance. I plan on working on some online crops this weekend. Found out today that the hotel where the crop is has free wireless Internet, so guess my laptop will be coming with me to the crop this weekend. later.. Jen

The weekend is almost over

Well, Sunday was a lazy day around here. Eleanore and Andy had horse riding lessons after church. Jessica and me stayed home and napped. I did actually work on a layout but that was about it. I got to go to work tonight but that means I am off Friday for some crops this up coming weekend. I got to start thinking about what I need to bring.

Here is the transparent photo album I did for the Color Me Daisy Blog Hop (transparencies).

The Weekend is Finally Here!!!!!

Well, today has been a busy day after all. I first made a run to the local craft store for some much needed crafting supplies. When I got back, we left for the science museum and lunch with the kids. Andy had so much fun at the science museum looking at all the different scales of trains. Eleanore and Jessica had fun also with the new space area of the center.

When we got home I got busy to work on my crafting. I have been working on a transparent family photo album for the Color Me Daisy's blog hop-transparencies that is going on this weekend. I am really not a fan of working with clear/transparent object but I like the way Oceanlover http://loveyourmotherearth.blogspot.com/ did her album. I thought that I would give it a try. I really love the way my transparent album turned out. So after viewing mine, head on over the http://www.colormedaisy.com/ and check out every ones' transparent projects. Their are some really cool ideas and the kits are awesome.

Friday is almost over and the weekend is here!!!!

Today the kids had fun Friday at school. When I got Jessica from school today she came running over to me with a beautiful handful of leaves. It was so cute. She was so happy to be giving mommy a handful of leaves. Wished I had my camera for that one. Eleanore had a birthday sleepover to go to tonight. So Andy and Jessica will have peace tonight over the movie they watch for bedtime. They picked Alvin and the Chipmunks.

I planted four more mums today and finished up my scrap area. It will be so nice to get to work in my new space tomorrow. Jessica finished her layout for the Kids can Scrap challenge. I will be posting it soon here and on the site. Not much going on this weekend as far as challenges and crops. Think that we might go to the science center with the kids. Well until later, good day.

It's Friday

Well yesterday I planted 4 mums in front of my home before it rains tomorrow. My husband helped me put up shelves and pegboard in my room for scrapbook supplies. I will need to make a Home Depot run this afternoon to get more pegs and other supplies to finish up before the weekend. The count down has started for next weekend's crop with the Fiskateers. I am actually going to be able to do two in person crops next weekend. One Friday night and one all day Saturday.

Jessica started to work on her scrapbook layout tonight for Kids can Scrap challenge. She was so cute sitting at my table and writing about her favorite things. Can't wait to post the layout she does and along with the Eleanore's and Andy's layouts.
